I operate and ADS-B and UAT feeder for a number of flight tracking websites to watch aircraft near the Salina, KS airport. I also stream the airband frequencies so you can listen to planes in the area as well.

Sites I Feed

I use the adsb.im feeder image, so I’m able to feed a number of sites from the same data stream. These are some of the sites I stream to:

There are others, I generally feed everything that is available in the image that I’m able to.

Airband Scanner

I operate a feed for Airband frequencies near Salina Regional Airport (KSLN) in Salina, Kansas. These are the frequencies used by aircraft talking to controllers in and around the Salina Area.

This is paired with my ADS-B receiver, and I talk about the specifics of the Salina airport on that page. In short, you should expect to hear a lot of pilot training, regular private jet and commercial flights, and some military traffic (see note below).

KSICS (Public Safety) Scanner

One portion of my scanning setups is designed to monitor the Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System (KSICS). This system is used by a number of public safety and government agencies across the state of Kansas, and all of the Salina area Public Safety agencies make use of the system.

Large, trunked radio systems like the one I scan can be difficult to understand for non-radio folks and dedicated scanners are too expensive for most folks. I wanted a scanner feed I can listen to locally that included other agencies that were not available elsewhere, and sharing the data out on the internet is an easy thing to do for others who don’t have other scanners.
